ПРИРОДА, БОГ ТА ХРЕСТОНОСЦІ – РЕАЛЬНА, СИМВОЛІЧНА ТА ПСИХОЛОГІЧНА ЗБРОЯ ПІД ЧАС ПЕРШОГО ХРЕСТОВОГО ПОХОДУ(НА ОСНОВІ АНОНІМНОЇ ПРАЦІ «ДІЯННЯ ФРАНКІВ»)

Проблематика історії хрестових походів вже не перший рік викликає хвилю нових досліджень в академічному світі. Протягом ХХ ст. були закладені основи подальших досліджень такими вченими як К. Сеттон та С. Рансіман. Без сумніву, наступні генерації розширили спектр досліджень хрестоносного руху. Дж. Райлі-Сміт, К. Гілленбранд, К. Таєрман, Дж. Філіпс, Д. Ніколь, М. Барбер та багато інших вчених деталізували окремі аспекти перебігу хрестових походів. Варто зазначити, що з кінця ХХ-го – початку ХХІ-го ст. все більше уваги почало приділятись ролі жінок в історії хрестоносного руху, нижчим соціальним верствам, баченню руху з точки зору мусульман, ролі природних, зокрема кліматичних, факторів тощо. Загально визнано в науковому світі, що саме Перший хрестовий похід був найуспішніший, який створив передумови перебування франків в Утремері. Але слід зазначити, що саме дослідження останніх кількох десятиліть пролили світло на одну з найважливіших причин успіхів Першого хрестового походу – політичної ситуації в регіоні серед мусульман. Подіям 1095 – 1099 рр. присвячено чимало праць дослідників, які продовжують розкривати нові аспекти перебігу тих далеких подій. «Діяння франків та інших єрусалимців» є одним з найважливіших серед всіх доступних нам джерел, які висвітлюють події Першого хрестового походу. Незважаючи на те, що питання авторства залишається дискусійним, достовірність джерела та довіра до нього перебувають на високому рівні. Ймовірний учасник походу (чи автор, що фіксував події з вуст учасника) деталізовано описує не тільки перебіг військово-політичних подій, але й фіксує природні знамення, чудесні видіння, появу святих й самого Ісуса в дусі своєї епохи. Святі беруть активну участь в перебігу бойових дій, допомагають хрестоносцям знайти реліквії, надихають на здійснення подвигів. Природа, сни, візії, реліквії також постають перед нами як учасники походу, які впливали та могли змінити перебіг події хрестового походу. Що саме автор вважає доречним зафіксувати, якого значення надає цим явищам, як тлумачить їх? «Діяння франків» пропонує нам поглянути на природні та символічні явища з іншої точки зору й дає можливість краще зрозуміти людей тих далеких часів.
